Keep it away from strong sunlight. Subsequently, it prefers light shade in the summer months and brighter light during the wintertime. Strong sunlight spoils the vibrancy of its leaves and fades them.
Water every 1-2 weeks, allowing the soil to dry out halfway down between waterings. Expect to water more often in brighter light and less often in lower light.
The best for potting the Calathea Crocata is soil-based potting compost with some peat moss (around 25%). Remember to allow the water to drain easily.
Fertilizer: Standard liquid fertilizer, used every two weeks, during the growing period.
