Paphiopedilum - Venus slipper

 Paphiopedilum belongs to the "low" light group of orchids.

Water Paphiopedilum orchids regularly in spring and summer. Allow the compost to dry out a little between watering and avoid overwatering. Reduce watering during the winter months, but don’t let the compost dry out completely. Avoid overhead watering and wetting the leaves.

Any balanced orchid fertilizer (look at the numbers on the container, 20-20-20, etc.) can be used to fertilize your orchid. Weakly (¼ strength), weekly works well. Once a month use clear water to flush any accumulated salts from the potting mix.
