Size: Approx. 20 cm
Light: These cacti prefer bright, indirect light. They can tolerate some direct sunlight but should be protected from intense midday sun, especially in hot climates, to prevent sunburn.
Watering: Like most cacti, 'Ove' prefers well-draining soil and should be watered thoroughly but infrequently. Allow the soil to dry out completely between waterings, especially during the dormant winter months.
Soil: A well-draining cactus or succulent mix is ideal. You can also mix your own with equal parts potting soil, coarse sand, and perlite or pumice.
Fertilizing: During the growing season (spring and summer), you can fertilize Gymnocalycium mihanovichii 'Ove' with a diluted, balanced fertilizer (20-20-20) once a month. Avoid fertilizing during the winter months when the plant is dormant.
Propagation: This cactus can be propagated from offsets (pups) that develop around the base of the plant. Gently remove the offsets and allow the cut ends to callous over before planting them in a well-draining soil mix.
