Dianella tasmanica, commonly known as the Tasman Flax-lily or Tasmanian Flax-lily is a herbaceous strappy perennial plant. Strong leaf colour, tropical effect. Does well as a border, edging plant, in containers, groundcover, around pools, courtyards and under canopied trees.

BOTANICAL/SCIENTIFIC NAME: Dianella Tasmanica
LOCATION: Full sun to light partial shade. Does well in coastal areas and interior regions with some protection from direct hot dry desert winds.
WATERING: Keep soil moist. Moderately drought tolerant for short periods only. Does not accept over irrigation or waterlogging
SOIL: Prefers an organically enriched fertile soil with a pH 6.1 – 7.5, mildly acidic to neutral.
FERTILISER: Once a month, high in Nitrogen to enhance evergreen leaves. Apply a slow release 14:14:14 NPK in spring and autumn.
