Calathea makoyana, commonly known as the Peacock Plant or Cathedral Windows. This houseplant is admired for its intricate leaf patterns and vibrant colors, making it a popular choice for plant enthusiasts. Calathea makoyana has oval leaves with a stunning pattern that resembles a peacock's feathers, hence the name Peacock Plant. The leaves have dark green and light green patches with feather-like patterns, and the undersides are a rich burgundy or purple. This plant typically grows to about 1-2 feet (30-60 cm) in height and spreads to a similar width. It forms a bushy clump of foliage, with new leaves unfurling from the center as it grows.
