Pumpkin is 90% water, so it has very few calories and carbohydrates. Its minerals and vitamins include folic acid, potassium, calcium, magnesium, iron or zinc, among others. It provides oleigo, palmitic, linoleic acids, as well as a high beta-carotene content, from which its characteristic orange color is derived.
This variety specifically stands out for its creamy texture and sweet flavor. It can be cooked in many ways; boiled, baked, fried, and even raw tastes good. Its rind can also be used as a container for stews or purees of the pumpkin itself.
Although seedbeds can be prepared, we recommend direct seeding. The size of the seed and its rapid germination will avoid the task of transplanting.
