Crocus is a genus of 90 closely related species of bulbous perennial herbaceous plants belonging to the iris family that grow from corms.

HOW TO GROW
Plant corms in well-drained, compost-rich soil in full sun or part shade.
Dig holes three to four inches deep, and place corms with the point facing up. Water well immediately after planting.

WATERING
Established corms need ample moisture in fall when roots are growing and in spring when blooming.
Unless rainfall is adequate, water in the amount of ½ to 1 inch of rain per week. Don't water in summer or when plants are dormant or they may rot. You may want to avoid planting them in areas where they will receive water year-round unless you plan on digging them up and storing them.
