Chrysalidocarpus grows well in bright, indirect light or partial shade in a well-draining soil. Amend the soil with sand to improve the drainage, if necessary. Space individual trees 1 to 5 feet apart, and space clumps of trees 10 feet apart.
Water newly planted palms frequently while they establish root systems. Water when the top 1 to 2 inches of soil dries out. Do not allow the soil to dry completely.
