Celosia is a genus of plants belonging to the Amaranth family native to Africa. As a ornamental plant, celosia is valued for its colourful and unique flower heads that come in various colours and forms. These showy flowers can be purple, pink, red, yellow and orange. Flower heads can be spiky like a rooster's comb, soft and fluffy feather plumes or brain-like. Plants can reach up to 4 feet tall.
